Well, I've got decal problems. Not too surprised at all. What is supplied is some sort of home-printed sheet, very fragile and meant to cover the red areas of the wings. Here's where you need a perfect fit...which they didn't quite manage. Of the options available, I think doing the red in paint rather than cracking, ill-fitting decal makes the most sense. Fine for the red. Now what about those white registration letters and the BEA logo on the opposite wing? They are printed clear on the decal sheet to allow the white undercoat to show through. Time for some study. Damn. Hate when this happens.
Looks like it's time to hit the spares box on those needed decals. What's been your experience overall with ALPS printed decals?

What I've got here I find pretty typical. In all cases, I've found the printing to be amazing. Good idea to clear coat them with something before doing anything else, then proceed with all the caution one can muster. They are so delicate. I knew from the beginning this would be a trouble spot. I do have some dry-transfer lettering that's a good match for the G-ANXA, but with the BEA I'm going to have to bite the bullet and CAREFULLY use what was supplied. Stay tuned!
