AD-6 Skyraider

June 2011 -- 1/72 Hasegawa AD-6

Essentially out-of-box with a Monogram (better shape) A-1E prop. Kit decals.

 
Paint? That has to be a 20 year old tin of Humbrol Glossy Sea Blue. I opened it, found it quite alive and thought, what the hell? It was a good move. (How many of your Model Master paints will stay usable, if opened 20 years ago?)

 
I was wary of the decal sheet, but the white was just dense enough and the green cowl markings fit impressively well -- though I did paint the leading edge. I think it's impossible for a decal to fit a curve like that without some wrinkling.

I have some Pactra International colors from the mid 1970's that are still useable.Seeing that tin of Humbrol Sea Blue Gloss reminds me of the Monogram Bearcat that I painted with the same said color back in 1982.
